About The Artist

Retiring from Computer Engineering and Computer software, in 2000, Joe returned to one of his loves, ART (music, books, and plays are some of his other loves.) During the past 15 years, he has been on the Boards of The Art League of Henderson County (NC,) Connestee Art League(NC), and Transylvania Art Guild, and remains an active member of each. He has taken art lessons from many local and nationally-known artists and mentors: Richard Kaiser, Tony Couch, Barbara Remensnyder, the late Dr. Joe Robinson, Sarah Sneeden, Kathy Gagnon, Elaine Bailey, Barbara Walter, James Scott Morrison, and the late Ruth Goldsborough to name a few. Each of these instructors helped Joe to improve his skills in landscapes, still-life, and portrait painting and sketching.
